2025 KZRV Sportsmen 241RKSE Walkthrough

Hitching up the 2025 KZRV Sportsmen 241RKSE
Start where every trip starts, at the coupler. The 2025 KZRV Sportsmen 241RKSE runs 28 feet 2 inches long, 8 feet wide and 10 feet 8 inches tall, with a dry weight of 5,610 pounds and 730 pounds of hitch weight. GVWR is 7,000 pounds, so you've got 1,390 pounds of cargo capacity to work with once you load water, firewood and gear. Two axles underneath on 14-inch tires, with 4,880 pounds of axle weight. For a lot of half-ton trucks in this valley, those are workable numbers, and it's a big reason this floorplan gets walked so often on our lot in Millcreek.
Crank the tongue jack, drop the coupler, hook the chains. The jack does the lifting so you're not fighting the A-frame in a gravel lot.

Pulling in and setting up
Once you're level, the stabilizer jacks go down at the corners and the flex comes out of the floor. That matters more than people expect in a rear living room layout, because the seating is over the end of the frame.

The slide is a rack and pinion electric unit with a manual override, and it's triple sealed, so Utah dust and an afternoon of rain on the way to the mountains stay outside. Run it out, then hit the switch for the 19-foot power awning and you've shaded most of the door side in about fifteen seconds.

Power is 30 amp, which plugs into any standard pedestal, and there's a 200W solar panel with a 30A MPPT controller feeding the batteries. That makes this a travel trailer with solar you can actually use dry, keeping the 12-volt systems alive on the San Rafael Swell or up a forest road with no hookup in sight. Two 20-pound LP tanks handle the furnace and cooktop. Fresh water is 45 gallons, grey is 64 and black is 32, so the tank that fills first is usually the one you have the most room in.
The entry door has a wide step-up, and an assist grab handle is available as part of the Select Package. The monitor panel inside lets you check tanks and battery before you settle in.

Cooking and eating
This floorplan has an outdoor kitchen, which changes how you cook. Burgers and bacon stay outside where the smoke and the smell belong, and you keep the inside cool on a July evening in the desert.
Inside, the galley has a three-burner cooktop, a microwave with a turntable and a 10 cubic foot 12-volt refrigerator. The 12-volt fridge is the one to pay attention to if you boondock, since it runs off the batteries and the solar instead of needing propane and a level pad to stay happy. Cabinetry is raised panel oak with mortise and tenon construction, so the doors and drawers hold up to a few thousand miles of washboard road.

Eat at the dinette. Interior height is 6 feet 6 inches, so you're not ducking through the kitchen with a hot pan in your hand.

The evening
The rear living room is where you'll spend the hours between dinner and bed. Theater seating with heat and massage is available as an option in place of the jackknife sofa, which is a nicer place to end a day of hiking than most furniture in most trailers. Across from it, the entertainment center includes an LED TV and surround sound.
Tinted safety windows cut the glare while the sun is still coming in low, and the 13,500 BTU air conditioner pulls down a coach this size quickly. When the temperature drops the way it does at 8,000 feet, the 30,000 BTU furnace has plenty of output for 28 feet of trailer.

Sleeping
The bedroom has a queen bed with mirrored closet doors, which do double duty by making the room feel wider than eight feet of exterior width suggests. There's real hanging and shelf storage in there, not a token cubby.

Sleeping capacity is five. Along with the queen, there's a bunk and a convertible dinette that makes up into a bed, so a couple traveling with kids or an extra set of grandparents has somewhere to put everybody.

The bathroom has a corner shower with room to turn around, a mirrored medicine cabinet, and a built-in vanity with privacy shades and custom curtains. Hot water comes from a tankless water heater, so the second and third showers of the morning are as warm as the first.

Packing up in the morning
Rinse the outdoor kitchen and your boots at the exterior shower before anything goes back inside. Awning in, slide in, jacks up. Chairs, hoses, leveling blocks and the generator all go in the pass-through storage, which you can load from either side of the trailer.

If you want the coach set up for shoulder-season and winter trips, ask about the Select Package, which adds heated tanks and an enclosed insulated underbelly. Fiberglass exterior siding over aluminum frame construction is also available on this line.
For anyone shopping a new travel trailer for sale in Salt Lake City, Utah with a rear living room and an outdoor kitchen, this is one of the easier ones to live in, because the two spaces you use most (the couch and the grill) are both out of the way of the kitchen.
Come walk through it and watch it set up in person at our Millcreek lot, or look through the photos and current details on the live listing.
Frequently asked questions
What truck do I need to tow this floorplan?
Plan around 5,610 pounds dry, 730 pounds of hitch weight and a 7,000-pound GVWR, loaded. Many properly equipped half-ton trucks and some heavy-duty SUVs handle those numbers, but check your specific tow rating, payload and hitch rating before you commit.
How many people does it sleep?
Five. There's a queen bed, a bunk, and a dinette that converts to a bed.
Can it camp without hookups?
Yes. It carries 45 gallons of fresh water, two 20-pound LP tanks, and a 200W solar panel with a 30A MPPT controller, and the 10 cubic foot refrigerator is 12-volt, so it runs off the battery system rather than propane.
Does it have an outdoor kitchen?
It does, along with an exterior shower and a 19-foot power awning over the door side.
Is this trailer tall enough to be a problem in a garage?
Exterior height is 10 feet 8 inches, so measure your door before you plan on storing it inside. Interior height is 6 feet 6 inches.
