2026 Ember Overland 240TKR Walk-Around

2026 Ember Overland 240TKR Walk-Around

Start outside with the 2026 Ember Overland 240TKR

Overland 240TKR — exterior front
Exterior front

Walk up to it on our lot in Millcreek and the first thing you notice is the stance. The 2026 Ember Overland 240TKR runs 28 feet 3 inches long, 8 feet 6 inches wide and 10 feet 11 inches tall, sitting on two axles. That height matters here. If you park at home under a carport or you're threading the older garages in Sugar House, measure before you buy. That length is short enough to turn around in a dispersed site off the Mirror Lake Highway and long enough that you're not living on top of each other for a week.

There are no slide-outs in this floorplan. Nothing to grind, nothing to seal up in a snowstorm, nothing to keep you from using the whole trailer when you pull into a campground at 11 p.m. and just want to sleep. The 20-foot awning gives you real shade for an afternoon in Green River in July. The windows are dual-pane acrylic with integrated screens and shades built into the frame, which does two jobs: it cuts the noise and it slows the heat loss on a September night in the Uintas when it drops into the twenties. Steel fenders and wheel walls take the gravel abuse on a washboard road better than a plastic skirt. There's high-visibility LED exterior lighting all around, a back-up light so you can actually see what you're reversing into, and it's pre-wired for a rear or side observation camera if you want eyes behind you on I-15.

Gear box, storage and the roof

Tongue jack

Up on the tongue there's an aluminum gear box. Generator, recovery boards, chocks, the muddy stuff you don't want in the pass-through. It's the kind of detail folks notice after their second trip, not their first. Plenty of shoppers come in hunting for a new toy hauler and end up here instead, because between the gear box and the 3,230 pounds of cargo capacity there's room for what they were actually planning to bring.

Overland 240TKR — pass through storage
Pass through storage

The pass-through storage swallows camp chairs, a folding table, leveling blocks and the tote of firewood you meant to burn last October.

Overland 240TKR — roof solar
Roof solar

The power system is the headline. Six 200-watt panels give you 1,200 watts of rooftop solar, feeding 270 amp hours of lithium through three Victron Bluetooth MPPT controllers, so you can sit in the truck in the Swell and watch the charge state on your phone. A 3,000-watt inverter runs the household loads. A REDARC DC to DC charger pulls from the tow vehicle while you drive, which is how you show up at a trailhead already topped off after a cloudy morning. There are both side and rooftop solar ports for a portable panel when you've parked in the shade of the cottonwoods on purpose, plus PV and cold weather disconnects for winter storage.

Inside the kitchen

Kitchen

Solid surface countertops with a stainless steel sink. Real counter you can set a hot pan on and a sink deep enough to wash a Dutch oven in. It wipes down after a dusty weekend instead of staining.

Overland 240TKR — refrigerator
Refrigerator

The refrigerator is sized to keep a family fed for a long weekend without a daily grocery run, and with that lithium bank and inverter behind it, you're not rationing power to keep it cold at a boondock site.

Living space and sleeping for six

Living dinette

The U-shaped dinette is the room everybody ends up in. Cards, laptops, a map of the Wasatch Front spread out, four people eating at once. It's also part of how this floorplan sleeps six.

Overland 240TKR — bunk
Bunk

Bunks handle the kids or the friends who came along for the Moab trip. Everyone gets their own spot instead of rebuilding a bed every night.

Overland 240TKR — bedroom
Bedroom

The bedroom is a separate space, which is what you want when the kids are still up and you're the one driving Parleys in the morning.

Bath and cold-weather comfort

Overland 240TKR — bathroom
Bathroom

The bath carries the same solid surface counter and stainless sink as the kitchen.

Overland 240TKR — shower
Shower

The shower is the part that keeps you out at 9,000 feet another two days, and the Truma Combi Comfort Plus does the work behind it. One unit, 20,400 BTU, heating your water and the cabin. That means you're warm in October at Strawberry and you're not waiting on a small tank to recover between showers. Add the dual-pane acrylic glass and this thing holds temperature far better than a single-pane box.

Weights, water and towing it in Utah

Dry weight is 6,765 pounds with a GVWR of 9,995 and a hitch weight of 945 pounds. Load it near capacity and you're asking a truck for real numbers, so check your door-jamb payload and your tow rating before you commit. A properly equipped half-ton or a three-quarter ton is the honest conversation, and we'll have it with you here rather than at the bottom of the Spanish Fork Canyon grade. A tire pressure monitoring system comes standard, which is worth its weight on a hot August pull over Soldier Summit, and there's a fire extinguisher aboard.

Fresh water is 81 gallons. That's the number that decides how long you stay. Gray and black are 35 gallons each, so gray fills first on a long dry camp and you'll want a tote or short showers by day four. The 40-pound LP capacity keeps the Truma fed through cold nights. Between the water, the solar and the battery, a week in the desert without hookups is a realistic plan, not a stretch.

If you've been shopping toy haulers for sale in Utah and keep running into weight problems, come stand in this one. It's a different answer to the same trip.

Frequently asked questions

How many people does it sleep?

Six. The bunks and the U-shaped dinette do the extra work, so the bedroom stays a bedroom.

Can I tow it with a half-ton?

Dry weight is 6,765 pounds, GVWR is 9,995 and hitch weight is 945 pounds. A properly equipped half-ton can work depending on your payload and tow rating, but bring your numbers and we'll check them against how you actually load.

How long can we dry camp in it?

You've got 81 gallons of fresh water, 35 gallons each of gray and black, 40 pounds of LP, 1,200 watts of rooftop solar, 270 amp hours of lithium and a 3,000-watt inverter. Gray capacity is usually what ends the trip before power does.

Will it handle cold nights in the mountains?

The Truma Combi Comfort Plus puts out 20,400 BTU for heat and hot water, and the dual-pane acrylic windows with integrated shades slow the heat loss. There are also cold weather and PV disconnects for storage.

Does this floorplan have slide-outs?

No slides. Setup and teardown are quick, and the full floorplan is usable the moment you stop.

Come see it in person at Motor Sportsland in Millcreek, open a few drawers and sit in that dinette for a minute. Photos and current details are on the live listing.
