Outside and storage on the 2026 Forest River Sandpiper 3710HBFB

This is the kind of fifth wheel you can set up and level without crawling around with blocks and a bubble level. This Sandpiper runs a 6-point automatic electric level-up system, so you push a button, and the trailer squares itself up on its two 7,000 lb axles.

Underneath, it's an I-Beam Monster Frame with a cambered, powder coated rail treated with rust prohibitor, plus 5/8" tongue and groove DryMax premium floor decking overhead. The underbelly carries Underbelly Armor with heated, enclosed water lines, and the holding tanks are 12V heated, which matters in a state where the shoulder seasons bite. Those tanks are generous: 50 gallons fresh, 104 gallons grey and 104 gallons black, so a long weekend at a dry site doesn't turn into a dump-station run. Anti-lock brakes on the axles and a tire pressure monitoring system cover the drive out there.

Storage is pass-through, and it's deep. Gravity chairs, a generator, the leveling blocks you no longer need, hoses, totes, all of it swallows up without a game of Tetris.

The exterior also gives you a 14 ft awning, two entry doors so nobody tramps through the living space to get to bed, and 200 W of solar on the roof. Length is 42.9 ft, 8 ft wide and 13.5 ft tall, with a 2,405 lb hitch weight, 12,649 lbs dry and a 15,500 lb GVWR. That leaves 2,851 lbs of cargo capacity, which is real-world room for water, gear and a full pantry.

Kitchen

The center kitchen layout puts an island in the middle of the coach, which is where everyone ends up standing anyway. Prep space wraps around you instead of hiding in a corner.

Counters are solid surface, the kitchen package is stainless steel, and the sink is under-mounted so you can sweep crumbs straight in without catching a lip. The cabinets and drawers are hidden hinge with soft close hardware, and the doors are solid wood with square inset panels. That combination is why this kitchen still looks right after three seasons of slamming.

Three slides open the floor up, and the RV AirFlow AIRDIRECT vents push conditioned air where you're actually standing rather than at the ceiling. Dual ducted 18k BTU air conditioners handle a July afternoon in the Utah desert, and the coach comes prepped for a third unit if you want it later.

Living and dining

Center living means the seating gets the widest part of the coach, and the rear entertainment wall gives the room a focal point instead of a hallway feel.

The dinette is U-shaped, which seats more people than a booth and gives the kids somewhere to spread out a puzzle while dinner happens six feet away. With Sleeps 7 on the tag, that dinette is part of how the family fits.

Heat and water keep up with the crowd thanks to a 60,000 BTU on-demand tankless water heater. Nobody draws the short straw on showers, and you're not timing a 6-gallon tank.

Bedroom

A front bedroom with a king bed is the whole reason buyers walk past shorter floorplans, and this one gives you walk-around room instead of a mattress wedged between two walls.

Storage in here is the part people underestimate. The closet space is substantial, with hanging room and shelving, so a two-week trip doesn't live in duffel bags on the floor.

The Highland interior color is on this build along with the Summit Package, and the vacuum bonded sidewalls and slide-out walls keep the whole box quiet and solid when the wind comes up.

Bunks

The bunkhouse is what makes this a seven-sleeper, and it keeps the kids in their own zone.

Two entry doors is the detail parents notice. Bedtime in the bunk area doesn't depend on the adults turning in.

Bath

Two full baths on one trailer is rare, and it's the single feature that ends arguments on a family trip.

The front bath is the main one, with a fiberglass one-piece shower. One piece means no seams to re-caulk and nothing to work loose on a washboard road.

Having the second full bath means guests or kids aren't lining up outside a single door at 7 a.m., and it means you can leave the main bath set up the way you like it.

What this new fifth wheel adds up to

Three slides, two full baths, a bunkhouse and a king bed in 42.9 ft, pulling a 2,405 lb pin. Pair it with a truck rated for the 15,500 lb GVWR and you have a coach a family can actually live in for a month.

If you've been shopping for a fifth wheel for sale in Utah with room for seven and more than one bathroom, this is a short list.

Frequently asked questions

What truck do I need to tow this floorplan?

Plan around a 15,500 lb GVWR and a 2,405 lb hitch weight, with a dry weight of 12,649 lbs. Match those numbers to your truck's payload and towing ratings, and bring your registration in so we can check it against the sticker.

How many people does it sleep?

Seven. The king bed, the bunkhouse and the U-shaped dinette are how it gets there.

Does it really have two bathrooms?

Yes, two full baths, including the front bath with a one-piece fiberglass shower. That is the feature most families call us about on this floorplan.

Can I camp off grid in it?

It carries 50 gallons of fresh water, 104 gallons each of grey and black, plus 200 W of solar and 12V heated tanks. That covers a long weekend without hookups.

How do I level it?

A 6-point automatic electric level-up system does the work. You park, press the button and let it square itself.

Come see it in Millcreek at our Salt Lake City store. Walk the kitchen, open the closets, sit in the bunks, and check the live listing for current photos and details before you drive over.
