2026 Keystone Raptor 444 Buyer's Guide

2026 Keystone Raptor 444 Buyer's Guide

What is the 2026 Keystone Raptor 444, and what will it take to tow it?

Start at the numbers, because they decide everything else. The 2026 Keystone Raptor 444 measures 46.08 feet long and 13.25 feet tall, rides on three axles, and carries a 21,000 lb GVWR against a 17,436 lb dry weight. That leaves roughly 3,500 lbs for your toys, water, tools and gear before you're at the ceiling. Hitch weight is 3,850 lbs, so this is a fifth wheel you plan a truck around, not one you squeeze under an existing hitch and hope.

In practical terms, that pin weight lands in one-ton dually territory for most buyers. Bring me your truck's door sticker and payload number and we'll do the math together in the lot before you fall in love with the inside. The 13.25-foot height matters too, both for Utah canyon garages and for whatever covered storage you've been renting.

Good fit if you have a truck rated to carry a 3,850 lb pin and pull 21,000 lbs, and you want a full garage plus sleeping space for seven.

Look at something else if your tow vehicle is a half ton or three-quarter ton at its limits, or if your storage is shorter than 46 feet or lower than about 13 and a half.

Where does everyone sleep?

Closet storage

Seven people, and they're spread out sensibly. The bedroom has a king bed, which is the thing most couples check first and the thing most big fifth wheels quietly skip. There's real hanging and shelf storage off the bedroom, so two adults living in it for a week aren't fighting over one rod.

The rest of the sleeping comes from furniture that earns its keep. Roll over sofas with a bonus bunk convert for kids or extra adults, and the HappiJack sofa/folding bed drops down when you need it and gets out of the way when you'd rather have floor space. That's the trick with a garage coach: the same square footage is a hauling bay on Friday and a bunkroom on Saturday night.

Where does the gear go?

The garage is served by a power ramp door, so loading a side by side or a pair of dirt bikes is a switch, not a wrestling match. Once you're parked, that ramp converts with the Ramp Patio package, which adds its own awning and patio steps. You get a raised deck off the coach with shade over it, and the steps mean you're not climbing the ramp to get in and out.

Outside storage is generous. The pass-through bays swallow chairs, chocks, leveling blocks, hoses and the tote bin of stuff nobody wants inside a clean coach. Open one on the walk-around and you'll see the depth better than any measurement I can quote you.

What's the kitchen like, and can I cook outside?

Inside, the galley runs on a convection microwave for quick reheats and real baking, with counter space laid out for someone who actually cooks rather than just warms things up. The Loam interior decor keeps it warm and low-glare, which you'll appreciate when the coach is full of people and dust.

There's also an outdoor kitchen, which changes how a group uses this trailer. Breakfast happens outside, the mess stays outside, and the inside stays cool. Pair that with the 18-foot awning and you've got a shaded run along the side of the coach for chairs and a table.

The bathroom has a shower, not a garage-coach afterthought.

How long can we camp without hookups?

This is where the 444 separates itself from most of what you'll find on a lot. Fresh water is 173 gallons. Grey and black are 104 gallons each, so you're not dumping on day three because the tanks filled before the fresh ran dry.

Power backs it up. There's 440 watts of solar on the roof feeding a 2,000-watt inverter, so lights, fans, the TV you hook up to the TV prep, and your device charging all run without touching the generator switch. Two LP tanks stretch the propane side across a long trip.

The tank monitor and control panel are grouped where you can read everything at a glance. Check levels, watch what the solar is doing, and manage the systems from one spot.

How does it handle hot afternoons and cold nights?

The Triple A/C Package is standard on this build. Three A/C units on a 46-foot coach means real cooling instead of one unit trying to push air the length of the trailer. In a Moab or Sand Hollow July, that's the difference between using the coach at midday and hiding under the awning. For shoulder-season trips, the two LP tanks give the propane side plenty of runway before you're hunting a refill station.

What else comes on it standard?

Three packages are on the build sheet from the factory: the Velocity Package, the Interior Luxury Package and the Exterior Adventure Package. Add the Loam decor, the power ramp door and the ramp patio setup, and you're looking at a coach that arrives loaded rather than one you option up to get where you wanted.

Shoppers hunting a new toy hauler in Utah usually come in comparing garage length across brands and leave comparing tank capacity and sleeping count, because that's what decides whether the family goes along. This Keystone toy hauler answers both, and it's parked in Millcreek where you can walk it today.
