2027 Forest River Stealth 2730 Floorplan Tour

Outside and storage on the 2027 Forest River Stealth 2730

The exterior of the 2027 Forest River Stealth 2730 is built around hauling weight, and the numbers back that up. Dry, it sits at 8,429 lbs against a 13,470 lb GVWR, which leaves 5,041 lbs of cargo capacity for the toys, the fuel, the gear and the water. Hitch weight is 1,470 lbs. Overall length is 34.08 feet, width is 8.5 feet and height is 12.75 feet, so measure your garage door before you back it in.

Hooking up is straightforward with the tongue jack doing the lifting at the A-frame.

Storage is the part people underestimate on a Forest River toy hauler. The pass-through compartment runs deep and swallows chairs, leveling blocks, hoses and the bins that never fit anywhere else, and it's accessible from the outside so you're not tracking dirt through the living space.

The awning rolls out over the entry side for shade at the campsite, and up top there's a 600W solar system feeding the batteries, which is the upgraded package with two additional 200W panels. Fresh water holds 102 gallons, grey 82 and black 42, so a long weekend away from hookups is realistic. If you want more insulation against Utah shoulder-season weather, the climate comfort package and the ultra cold weather heated holding tank pads with 12V heat are available, as is an onboard 6.0 generator.

The rear of the coach is where the ramp comes down, and the ramp door patio system is available if you want to turn that into a deck once everything's unloaded.

Kitchen

The center kitchen puts the cooking zone in the middle of the trailer, which keeps traffic out of the bedroom and keeps the rear space free for cargo and people.

Counter space runs along the galley, and the layout gives you room to work without standing in the doorway of anything.

The refrigerator sits in the run of cabinetry so it's easy to reach from the kitchen and from the dinette without crossing the whole coach.

Urban decor and the best in class value package are available if you want to dress up the interior finish.

Living and dining

The rear living room is the flex space, and in a toy hauler that means it works as a garage on the way there and a lounge once you've parked.

A booth dinette gives you a place to eat, deal cards, spread out a map or set up a laptop, and it doubles as sleeping space when the trailer is full. Total sleeping capacity on this floorplan is six.

Rear entertainment is part of the layout, and an LED smart TV for the living room is available. Worth noting: this floorplan has zero slides, so nothing has to be extended before you can use the space, and nothing can fail to retract when you're trying to leave a campground in the rain.

Bunks

The bunk adds a dedicated sleeping spot that isn't the dinette and isn't the bed, which matters when you're traveling with kids or an extra rider.

It tucks into the floorplan without eating into the usable floor space, and it's a natural spot to stash sleeping bags and duffels during the day.

Bedroom

The front bedroom is a real bedroom, separated from the rest of the coach so someone can turn in early while the lounge is still busy.

There's a king bed in here, which is rare in a trailer this size and the single best reason people choose a front bedroom layout over an open one.

With the bath just outside the bedroom, the nighttime walk is short and you're not crossing the living area to get there.

Bath

The center bath location means it serves the bedroom and the living space equally, so nobody has to walk through the sleeping quarters to use it.

It's a separate room, closed off from the rest of the coach. Grey capacity of 82 gallons means showers don't have to be rationed as hard as they do in smaller trailers.

Power and comfort options worth knowing

A new toy hauler gets used hard, and this one can be specified for it. Fifty amp service with second A/C prep is available, as is a second 15K A/C unit, which is the combination you want if you camp in southern Utah in July with the ramp door open.

The 600W solar upgrade is already part of the picture on this build, so the base of an off-grid setup is handled before you start adding anything.

If you've been shopping toy haulers for sale in Utah and comparing garage space against livability, the 2730 is the one where you don't have to give up a king bed or a separate bath to get the cargo room.

Frequently asked questions

What is a toy hauler?

How many people does this floorplan sleep?

Six. The king bed in the front bedroom, the booth dinette and the bunk make up the sleeping arrangements.

Does it have slide-outs?

No, this floorplan has zero slides. Everything is usable the moment you park, and there are no slide mechanisms or seals to maintain.

Can I camp off grid in it?
